Samaritan is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Julius Avery, written by Bragi F. Schut, and starring Sylvester Stallone in the title role, Javon Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, and Moises Arias. Described as a dark, new take on superhero movies, the story was previously adapted into the Mythos Comics graphic novels by Schut, Marc Olivent, and Renzo Podesta. It is a co-production of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Balboa Productions.
Samaritan is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2022, by United Artists Releasing and Studios via streaming on P Video.
Jed Danyel Kurzel is an Australian singer-songwriter-guitarist and film composer. He is a founding member of The Mess Hall (from 2001), a blues rock duo. His older brother Justin Kurzel is a film director and screenwriter.
Kevin Kiner is an American film and television composer best known for scoring CSI: Miami, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels. Kiner was nominated for multiple P Emmy, Day Emmy and Annie Awards for Clone Wars and Rebels, while winning several BMI Awards for his work on CSI: Miami, Narcos: Mexico, Making a Murderer, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
